Tarot Projects

Collection of colorful tarot cards spread out on a surface, featuring various illustrations including mythological figures, animals, and symbolic scenes.

Kallisti Tarot

Kallisti Tarot is my sophomore tarot project, and a work in progress.

In ancient Greek Mythology, 'Kallisti' is a reference to the golden apple of Discord, whose inscription denoted the fruit as a prize 'for the fairest'.

I started this project in 2022. Originally I designed the deck to be an ode to Chaos Witches everywhere, including nods to Discordian lore, personal whimsy, chaos magic and pop culture mythology. As the Major Arcana developed, it began to take a life of her own.

Kallisti became less silly and more serious, taking on a gravity I did not expect - probably influenced by the times we are living in, but I have learned that when you create by the Hand of Eris, things can take unexpected turns. I hope the final project will have a light step that feels liminal and ethereal, but is still rooted in the world we live in.

In many ways, Kallisti Tarot is a sequel to my first deck, Penumbra Tarot. She’s also a bit of a middle finger to reviewers of the Penumbra who did not love the kitsch or fantasy art factor - Kallisti will include 67% more mermaids, fairies AND dragons.

I am also personally writing a thick, juicy guidebook to accompany the deck, including journal prompts, insights into the symbolism, tips for readers, and yes - a soundtrack!

The Major Arcana has been completed, and I hope to complete the Minors over the course of 2026 and to publish in 2027.

An artistic fantasy scene with a gray dog-like creature playing a guitar and a purple insect-like creature wearing a dress, standing in a barren landscape with leafless trees and a winding rainbow-colored river. A crab is on the ground in front of them. In the sky, there is a large moon with a human face and a glowing aura.
A tarot card titled 'The Wheel' depicting a central figure with wings, flying within a glowing yellow circle, surrounded by clouds, stars, a winged cat at the top, a mermaid at the bottom left, and a pelican at the bottom right.
A colorful fantasy artwork featuring a woman with horns and a snake-like creature, a lion, and a green snake, all intertwined against a pink and red background.
A person with a green robe and blue pants sitting on a throne with a wolf's head on the left, a bison's head on the center, and a crocodile's head on the right, surrounded by a green forest background, with a crown above and holding keys.

Penumbra Tarot

Ever since I started connecting my art and my spiritual practice together I knew I wanted to make a tarot deck some day. I slowly started working on what would eventually become the Penumbra Tarot around 2013. I went through a lot of trial and error, and learned a lot about the tarot along the way. Momentum really picked up in 2019 when I had knee surgery and was bed ridden for a few weeks, and by the end of 2020 I was ready to publish.

I had no clue or plan for what to do next, but once it was finished, I had the help of a dear friend, Ethony, who also created the guidebook for it. She is well known in the tarotsphere for her teaching and sharing of resources on the tarot, and she was one of my earliest tarot teachers. I am forever grateful for her assistance and care in publishing the Penumbra Tarot which has been handed over to her capable hands.

Released in 2021, I found it vulnerable seeing my art far off in the world, and to have such personal work be whisked off into the hands of so many different people. But I really enjoy hearing about the adventures of the Penumbra Tarot and how it reads so clearly with no holds barred. Turns out, my whimsical elementals, mermaids and dragon drawings have a bit of bite!

If you'd like a copy of the deck, I have a few if you catch me in person, but it's easier to buy online. If you're in Australia and want to avoid international shipping, Amazon is the way to go. The Penumbra Tarot is a limited edition and going out of print soon, so act fast if you’d like a copy!
